Race Status (updated 3-2-09)
March 8th, 2009 Biathlon Cancelled!
Due to lack of snow at the venue, there will be no race this Sunday, March 8th. We had a great season with our two races. Thanks to everyone who came out to race, and a special thanks to the volunteers. We'll be doing some summer races this year, and more winter events in 2010. Stay tuned!
Thanks to everyone who turned out for the race on Feb 8th! We had 16 racers (including 2 from Utah!) and many more who volunteered. In total over 60 individual racers have turned out for the 6 biathlons we've held since the range opened. The momentum is building...If you are interested in helping out behind the scenes, please contact any of the board members to see what you can do to help.

Membership
To shoot at Beaver Creek Ski Area on days other than races, we ask that you become a member of the Lander Biathlon Club to keep track of who is shooting, and help with race and club development. You can download the membership form on this website, and mail a completed form to:

Our History
In 2006 a group of enthusiatic folks created a new biathlon venue at Beaver Creek Ski Trails near Lander, Wyoming with the support of many organizations, including the NRA, the Lander Valley Sportman's Association, a local Boyscout Troop, and Triple L Construction. We held our first summer biathlon event July 2006 with a fantastic turnout of 25 racers!
The targets and warming hut were purchased with grant money from Friends of the NRA. In January 2009, we received another Friends of the NRA grant to purchase new rifles, pellet guns, and pellet targets. We couldn't do this without their generous support!
